Open Photo Frame {with Instagram Photos}

It's no great secret that I love Instagram.
You can follow me {here}
And while most of my photos are aimed at my kids and my life, rather than "arty life shots," I make no apologies.

You may remember hearing about my attempts to redecorate the walls in our downstairs living room.  I've made a {special dates art piece} as well as some {string art} I'm especially proud of.
I had the hubs cut up and reassemble some extra door/window trim into a frame shape.

The piece was originally meant for over the sofa, but it didn't fit quite right, so it found it's way to the bottom of the stairs.
This is probably a better place.
High traffic, good light, lots of opportunity to change.

Here's how I did it:

Take a frame - either reclaimed or refurbished or otherwise.  Don't worry about the color or condition of the glass.  You can always repaint and the glass condition is irrelevant - the frame is empty.

I used a gigantic pack of bakers twine I scored at Archivers, some adorable Instagram photos I printed with Snapsagram and mini clothespins from Moonbeam Gifts.

Depending on the size of your frame and photos, you'll space your string accordinging.
I spaced my s 6 inches apart (allowing for white space for the 4" photos that Snapstagram.)  I used some tightly wound bakers twine around thumb tacks hammered into the back of the frame.

After some bent thumb tacks and a few rebalancing effort,s this super cheap wall-hanging is complete.

There will always be more photos.
These kids grow every day.
My iPhone is attached to my hand most of the time it's not being used for Elmo Calls or Peek-a-Boo Barn.
Instagram is only getting cooler, and making me seem like a more fabulous photographer than my skills actually dictate.

I hope to edit this over and over again.
