Two Songs

Only two weeks left in this challenge, I can't believe how fast time goes!  This week, the challenge with Lauren and Tiffany is about songs.  I could do the easy one, and name my wedding song (Ray Lamontange's Hold You in My Arms) but I thought maybe I should look a little harder, seeing how this list only got two.

Two songs that evoke memories and feelings, good or bad.  Hmmm...

I could name any number of movie songs:
I've Had the Time of My Life (perhaps the best dance movie EVER)
Life is a Highway (thank you Cars)
Unchained Melody (not a potter, but you can believe I wanted to be!)
Higher Ground, the Chile Peppers version (Center Stage, another great dancing movie)

I'll go back to my days in high school and college - getting ready for football games, driving around with the radio way too loud (sorry mom), pre-parties before heading out to bars (once we were 21 of course).  Those were awesome times.  Nothing but fun, and make-up and friends.  No stressors about kids, or babysitters, or mortgage payments.  Just who had a crush on who, who were we going to see, what top should I wear to look the cutest.  So shallow, but at the time, that was the LIFE!

So my two gal-pal favorite songs are
{one}
Faded, Soul Decision.  I can sing the tune in my head, right now, as I'm writing this and I'm back to my short-blonde bob hair, and halter top, trying to impress someone - who I don't know.  Whatever happened to that group?  Their one song sure left an impact on me!

{two}
It's Not Right, But It's Okay, Whitney Houston.  Basically anything from her Bodyguard soundtrack or My Love is Your Love album is amazing.  We'd blast those songs SUPER loud on the way to football games, mostly to drown out our off-key singing.  Top of the world!!  We were kick ass women!!
