Another summer holiday, another amazing foodie find from the home of my sister and brother-in-law.
WARNING: Make this once, you may never eat "plain" bread again.
It's called Crack Bread for a reason. A drug with butter, bread, cheese, bacon and ranch seasoning. Basically everything the human body needs to survive. And cannot live without.
Also, please note. My camera battery died mid-prep so we will have some "normal" camera shots and some iPhone/Instagram shots - I'm super arty and funky, so this works. All the cool kids are doing it.

To make CRACK BREAK you will need to gather:
- Oven preheated to 375
- One large loaf of sourdough bread
- Two sticks of butter
- Two packets of RANCH seasoning
- One package of real bacon crumbles (or about 5-6 slices cooked and crumbled)
- One 8 oz bag of shredded cheddar cheese
All the basic food groups are covered. I'm sure this is about 3 WW points - you're fine.
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Slice your loaf of dough into a grid pattern, but leave about 1/4-1/2" on the bottom. Do not cut all the way through the loaf.
- Fill cracks with bacon crumbles and cheddar cheese.
- Melt butter and mix in ranch seasoning. Drizzle over entire load and in all of the bread cracks.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread and crusty and golden brown.
WARNING: Your house will fill with an amazing aroma that will call stray neighbors and hooligans over. I'm serious. It's that good.
Serve warm. Rumor has it, this dipped in Ranch dressing is amazing. I have to believe this be true, because what isn't amazing dipped in Ranch dressing!?
Enjoy!
