Amazing Black & White Photos

I am not a photographer.  I'm not even an ammeter photographer.  I have a "fancy" point and shoot, that has a manual setting that I try to play with to get some good shots.  As my dad would say, even a blink squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

Katie Evans has been a wealth of knowledge for me.  This post in particular.  Maybe you've seen her gorgeous daughter, in black and white, eyes shining and smart.  I wanted to give it a try.  With her advice things weren't too hard, though I am overly critical of my work.  I'm sure you'll tell me how awesome I am.

I followed Katie's steps with PicMonkey.  Free advice with a free photo editing program, can't beat that!

Straight out of the camera

Change to Black and White

Using the "Brightness" slider, I changed the brightness to 30

Using the "shadows" slider, I changed it to 25.

She's so stinkin' cute.

I do good work.
